The Civil War mod is set and being worked on. I'm mostly a sound mod maker but after taking to team leader of my Call of Duty mod group things are looking good. I'll post what he wrote...

Well it is on right now i'm making new sounds for the guns and a new intro for the mod. We would like any help you guys can give us from UV-Mapper, modeler, skinner, and scrïpter for this mod. Do you guys know any 3rd party people who could help or maybe talk to BG guys and see if any of those people want to help.

p.s. massacre mod is a call of duty mod that adds blood to the players body if he has been hit or if he is dead the body will look more real. There would be blood on the ground and some blood will come the body after you shoot it.

Massacre sounds like the N64 Goldeneye game where you spawn with blood on the place you got hit. ^_^

Well, I can't wait to see this mod.  I would love to get my hands on it when it comes out.  I wouldn't even mind testing out the mod. >_<

yea but my team leader of the group kinda over does the blood thats why for my cod2 mod (being made) i'm trying to not have as much blood. Here is a link of his mod.

yea we are planning things out but we have to finish some cod mods being made i think we have 3 right now but I'm 60% done with the intro for the civil war mod.

I think we will use hammer or try to find something better maybe. I'm going to talk to few other 3rd-party modders and see what they like more before we start.

hmm right now trying to get people together and having some teams try putting together some iteams like making weapons.

What would needed to be done first if we made this from ground up?

Cat, you have me really excited for this.  I only wish I had some development skills to help out.  Keep us updated, man.

you should make it look like that HC Civil War Mod in a way with the textures.  It is a shame you can't go prone as well.  That would make my day. Plus when this comes out and if you can go prone.  I will drink a beer of Agent's choice.  No Joke!

isn't there a mod that you can do that for hl2? If so i will try to talk to them. Hairy i going make civil war mod base on css not hl2 dm since if we use css you can get vet points to buy up-graded guns but if that counts on how many guns are made. Do you want to see if you can being some stuff over from bg2 or make whole new stuff. Maybe we should have some battlefield that look like real battlefields from the civil war for maps. If i look like i been drinking its because i'm doing 5 things at same time (eating dinner,drinking, civil war movie and writing notes, typing, and taking on the phone.) [ Ahhh ]

They never released the source code for CSS, only HL2DM.
